Por otro lado, el incremento de resistencias de la terbinafina y los cambios en la etiología de algunas infecciones micóticas motivan la revaloración de las pautas de tratamiento antifúngicas. Actualmente, el itraconazol y la terbinafina son de elección para el tratamiento de las dermatofitosis y onicomicosis, mientras que la nistatina y los azoles tópicos son buenas opciones para el tratamiento de las candidiasis. En casos de candidiasis resistentes, el fluconazol sigue siendo la mejor alternativa en este grupo de edad, dada su menor frecuencia de interacciones farmacológicas. BIBLIOGRAFÍA 1.
